Ethan sang as a member of the Ritter Chor ensemble in IU Opera’s 200th Anniversary production of Wagner’s Parsifal in 2019 (Chris Alexander/Arthur Fagen).

Ethan created the role of Justin in the new musical Campus Chatter (produced and music written by Xiang Gao, lyrics by Joyce Hill Stoner and orchestration by Asher Denburg) as a part of the University of Delaware Master Players Concert Series in 2015.

Ethan has appeared as a concert soloist in Handel’s Messiah at Christchurch Priory with the Grange Choral Society Christchurch in 2021 and in the Mozart Requiem in 2021 with the Hastings Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra, both in collaboration with the conductor and impresario Marcio da Silva. He also sang as the tenor soloist in Mozart’s Regina Coeli K. 276 with the Delaware Choral Scholars in 2015, a summer festival and study abroad program in Aix-en-Provence, France, led and organized by Dr. Paul D. Head.

Ethan is currently employed in Saarbrücken, Germany where he sings and covers small and medium-sized roles in addition to singing full-time with the opera chorus at the Saarländisches Staatstheater.

He is regularly sought as a soloist within the Saarland region for public concerts and private events, such as in March ‘24 when he performed a selection of Neapolitan songs for a wedding reception at the Ristorante Roma. He most recently performed a selection of opera and operetta arias and Neapolitan song for a birthday party at the Schlossberg-Hotel Homburg while in collaboration with Bernhard Leonardy, among other such engagements.

He collaborated with the pianist Zacharias Kokkos in November of 2022 to perform and produce a song recital in partnership with the Theater im Viertel (TiV). The concert featured various Lieder from Schubert’s Schwanengesang as well as songs by the composers Duparc, Glinka, Tosti, and a contemporary American work, “The War Prayer,” an extended art song composed by Steven Mark Kohn that sets text taken from a short story by Mark Twain.

He has performed in numerous productions at the Saarland State Theater, the National Theater Mannheim, Theater Dortmund, and the Theater Trier as both a chorister and soloist.
